Fix for starting the game

Go 2 your reaxxion folder . (program filles-steam- etc)
Search the .exe.
Rightclick it .
Set compability to windows 7.

Happy gaming.

PS..this is whit OS 8.0 since i don't upgrade for 8.1.
Dunno if this helps for 8.1 and windows 10.

Reaxxion can now be purchased on BigFishGames. I went to the website and installed the trial version of Reaxxion..Of course it came with the BigFishGames download installer. After I started the game up for the first time I then quit and uninstalled the BigFishGames installer. I went into the Reaxxion folder and deleted anything to do with BigFishGames. I then went to the Steam folder where Reaxxion is installed and a copied and pasted the Reaxxion.exe from the BigFishGames Reaxxion into the Steam version Reaxxion.....my reaxxion now works thru Steam!!

DO NOT VERIFY GAME CACHE or it will delete and replace the game.exe and it won't start again!!

I had a time today and never got it working. But Zellar really tried to help. We went so far as to have him put the exe he was using in dropbox and send it to me, unfortunately for me, it didn't help. http://steamcommunity.com/app/15950/discussions/0/385429254939466496/

I am on a mission here so if I can figure anything out with this I will post a thread about it for sure. I am not holding out hope, though, unfortunately.

Are you able to play the demo version from BigFishGames? You then should be able to copy the reaxxion.exe from BigFishGames into your Steam Reaxxion folder, replacing the steam one for the BigFishGames one?.....Frustrating! Damn I know!!

For anyone else trying this alternate .exe file, it doesn't run when double-clicked directly from its folder location \STEAM\steamapps\common\Reaxxion but does run perfectly when you click Play from within Steam. I didn't even need to change any Compatibility settings.

I got 'Steam.dll missing' error. After deleting all game files including the game folder in my Steam library and reinstalling about three to four times (each time replacing the Reaxxion.exe) and running a registry cleaner in between I got this beast running with the Reaxxion.exe from https://www.sendspace.com/file/z5li59 on Win10_64 Pro. It wasn't necessary to apply any compatibility settings. The game is rendering in 800x600 and is displayed fullscreen on my 4K tv. You can look up my specs at my Steam page.
It's a really nice game. Sadly the game doesn't seem to get much love from MumboJumbo.

If anyone else confirms this works and could possibly upload it to filedropper.com that would be awesome. Keep it up guys you doing great and hopefully a real fix will come through or the devs will update/patch it for win 10!
