its ok. to start with, the sound design, game feel and visuals are great, its very satisfying to play. drifting is satisfying, and the soundtrack gets you hyped and the sound effects are very punchy. its not a mario kart, no weapons or anything, its just a pretty good arcade racer. it unfortunately doesnt reinvent the wheel or anything.
I think what stops it from being great has to be the AI opponents, theyre abit lacking. They just kinda do their own thing, theyre not really trying to overtake or stop you, and in more complex stages ill find some stuck to walls. once you pass them you can forget they exist. They dont pick up in difficulty until i want to say the 5th cup. In the final few cups I did find that instead of making them smarter or anything, their stats just got juiced up, kinda forcing me to use certain builds or racers for certain races. I also couldnt tell you what power does, but whatever it is, its nowhere near as useful as handling or speed, I wouldnt prioritize it.

anyway, the game has lots of stages, a decent amount of extra challenge missions, and despite the lacking AI is still fun to control and play. I'll say its excellent on the steam deck, the game has a funky resolution but its close enough to the steam decks that you basically cant see the difference anyway. its a good portable game. You wont be blown away, but you'll have a decent time with this game.

I think this was the game I needed to finally understand why racing games are fun

The Chamopinship mode was really good. Lovely graphics, music and vibes. Got a little tedious afterwards but couldn't help myself and got 100% achievements. Content is a bit on the lacking side. I'd say it's worth it for about €3 or less.
