The Playstation controller was never comfortable. Plenty of other options. Use an XBox controller and never look back.
Nope, there's no direct 1:1 correlation between physical mouse movements and the in-game camera. Instead the in-game camera caps out at a certain "top speed" when looking around. The in-game mouse sensitivity controls adjusts how high that "top speed" cap is.
But regardless of how fast you move the mouse physically, basically the camera will always at most move at a certain speed in-game.
For me it ends up making it impossible to get a proper mouse sensitivity as a result because either the in-game "top speed" is too high, but the camera at least responds quickly to my physical movements, or the "top speed" is too low, and the camera responds slower to my physical movements.
For clarification I don't find the dualsense itself to be uncomfortable, but rather playing this style of over the shoulder genre'd game is something that turns me away on controllers compared to M+K.
Every multiplatform release or Port that I've played in this style just suits me so much better here,
To each their own.
Very well even though you get PS controller prompt.
To better understand, move your mouse from left to right in a very rapid motion and you will notice the mouse movement will actually slow down and not mimic how fast you are actually moving it. Now move the mouse in a smooth motion keeping it the same speed and you will see it will go a bit faster. This is negative mouse acceleration and in fps games it is the biggest ♥♥♥♥♥ of them all. In this game it isn't that big of a deal. An annoyance yes but once you know how to counter it then its livable.
Seriously, since the opening gripes of the original XBox beast mode controller, you are the first one I have seen or heard, gripe about the XBox controller. with a well thought complaint. Any attempt of a complaint was, usually "I don't like it." or "it sucks". Every time i used a PS style controller, I thought I was going to break it in half. It was uncomfortable and didn't feel like they actually thought it out in design.
Yeah it has this strange acceleration where it gets faster over time and not faster depending on how fast you move the stick.
When I started my problem was that the cam was too fast out of combat so I turnt it down, but then it was too slow in combat. I have found a middle ground now, but it is not perfect. What others are saying about the negative mouse acceleration would bother me even more though. So I keep playing with controller.
