With the experimental Branch beta Now DLSS is available and works for me, I'll keep test a little more to see how the performance goes.

I think vsync is the culprit.

Before you try anything such as changing display and graphics settings, force vsync via Nvidia Panel.

Make sure the game isn't running. Exit out of God of War.

1. Download Game Ready Drivers for God of War.
2. Restart PC.
3. Start Nvidia Panel
4. Manage 3D Settings
5. Select God of War.exe
6. Vsync - force on

Start God of War and play.

All the micro-stuttering, FPS drops are gone.

Specs:

Currently set to "ALL" Ultra and Ultra+ setting.
Using Flawless Widescreen

i5-8600K @ 4.2GHz
EVGA RTX 2070 Super
16GB of RAM
Samsung EVO SSD
Windows 10

I already had those settings on before God of War released and that's not a fix for current performance issues which is memory leak.

I am playing on experimental version of the game but still get memory leak issue. I hope they will figure it out soon and will give a fix patch.

I am get crashes after like 14 to 30 mins of gameplay my spec are i9 10900k,rtx 3090 and 32 gb ram 3600 mhz

I have a rx 5700 xt and have been having the same fps-drop-issues in some areas as others have reported. Turning on Radeon Chill and setting min to 60, max to 90 seemed to have helped a little bit.
I just returned to the big open watery area in Alfheim and while it did drop to around 55, it is a big improvement from the low 40's I recall having yesterday.
I haven't yet returned to the first big open area with the boat which was where I experienced the biggest drops so I can't say for sure but could be worth a try if you're using AMD.

RTX 3070 + Ryzen 3700X + 32 GB RAM.
3840 x 2160, preset Ultra with resolution scale at 85% locked at 60 FPS , the better conf to my system ! DLSS or FSR works worse than 85% os Resolution scale. I have VRAM over use in Quality mode DLSS and Ultra quality FSR, caunsing stuterings and tearing. Tto use these "magics" let shadows in original .... 8GB VRAM is not enough anymore...

Reference AMD 6800 and random huge fps drops in some areas with about 60% gpu utilization. Don't know if it is game or driver related problem. (last graphic driver already installed)

Are you going to add the toggle for TAA for AMD users? It is hard enough to play at 4k. Yet the game is doing something really bad that makes no sense. So the game is forcing you to render a 4k scene yes? Then you blur that with forced TAA and Depth of field. This now causes an FPS loss but the worst thing is it loses you FPS blurring something you already paid to render. Why render at 4k when the DOF and TAA blur it? It makes no sense this is a performance hurting double dip.

And it is anti AMD. TAA is basically forced on for DLSS to work. AMD has no DLSS therefor it is an undeniable fact that this game causes degration in the Image quality and performance for AMD users yet the game was built on AMD hardware!

FPS on AMD Ryzen + Vega is erratic, regardless of graphics settings and GPU usage.

Right from the beginning, just by looking at the temple's closed door (when chasing the deer with Atreus), the FPS drops at 38 on ultra and 42 on low! Resolution is 1080p and strangely enough, GPU usage is 80%.

When forcing FSR Performance (that's a quarter of 1080p), the FPS doesn't change at all yet the GPU usage drops at 40%. WTH?

I read many people AMD users have the same issue. I have the latest Radeon driver (22.1.1).

I'm having exactly the same issues you described. It's rock solid 90-100 fps, silky smooth anywhere inside, but during the first fight with Baldur, frames dropped into the 40s and in the Lake of the Nine they consistently run in the 50s and 60s with erratic frame timings so it is not smooth at all. This happens no matter the graphic options, at any resolution and with any level of FSR. I'm using a 1440p ultrawide. Hoping this gets patched soon.

PC specifications

CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: RX 6800
RAM: 16GB 3200 mhz
This is exactly my experience with the game so far too. 5800X, 6900 XT at UW 1440p.

Ok, so maybe it helps - I actually turned off vsync and removed FPS limit. Game runs much better, for some reason - 100-120 FPS on 3070
But memory leak is there, that's for sure.
16 RAM, and after couple of hours in game I got "Out of memory" crash.

You can get max 30 fps for sure at all ultra low preset at 720p
I love this new way to troll back these people hahaha. Well done PrinceXavier.

I'm using a ryzen 3 2200g with vega 8, but the game opens and closes, does anyone know why?

AMD Vega 64 - GPU usage all over the place as soon as I'm out of a cutscene, causing massive noticeable dips in framerate.
