I would like to note that enabling XMP to increase my RAM speed from the 2400 MHz it was at for awhile now to 3000 MHz might have fixed my performance problems. I don't know how, but it is worth noting for people who have similar hardware to my Ryzen 7 3700X, AMD RX 6600 XT, and 16GB of RAM with a 1920x1080 75Hz FreeSync display.

I just... what? I never thought that RAM speed would matter but it appears to have even removed stuttering issues and frame dips when facing certain directions in the game.

You can enable XMP in your motherboard BIOS UEFI. I never thought this might be a problem because RAM speed is never considered for game performance, but maybe in this case it does? I don't get it.

ryzen performance increases with ram speeds and lower timings because of how the infinity fabric works. Higher speeds reduces latency within the chip therefore increasing the performance

For anyone with "potato" pc by today's standards wondering how it performs, my specs:
GTX 1050ti
i5 7400
8GB RAM
Stable 30FPS on low settings 1080p. It's more than 30 actually, around 35 but I capped it to 30. It still looks great and if you want even more FPS with slightly worse quality, FSR settings make it 40FPS+.

My i7 4790 is always at 100% usage with this game even when the setting is at its lowest. I have a 3060ti. Any ideas how to lower cpu usage?

Could you do a little video on original settings and 1080p with FPS counter? I'm trying to verify massive frame drops (60 down to mid 30s) on that specific CPU.

Holy crap, thank you for that explanation. That's really good to know!

I'm happy if this fixed the problem for me, but it sucks that it had to be such an esoteric thing buried in the BIOS. Most of us don't even think about it, except for the more diehard PC gamers, and I'm already a PC gamer myself. I just have too much to learn.

I experience lots of outofmemory crashes, though specs are met. conf: current nvidia driver, rtx2080, 16gb ram, xeon 3,4ghz, original quality settings, dlss average, 1440p.
Arkveveen 15 ENE 2022 a las 3:23
Nah, that didn't fix the performance. XMP did make the game run much smoother but it's still dropping 15-20 frames in the problem areas. Which is still noticeable and unacceptable. So I'll still have to get a refund at this rate.

What did they change Mr. Game designer, tell us, we're listening? Even the PS5 version uses the PS4 Pro version but at 60fps,

Where in this thread did i say im a game designer? yeah they added a 60fps Patch on PS5 but they also added a few other things on top like your seeing in the PC version right now. they aint to cater to low end hardware that alot of PC Gamers are using. they would have to optimize the game to work on all types of different hardware configurations and with the all the Implementation of DLSS and other stuff its too Support the newer generation 3000 RTX Cards like im running right now. an RX470 is ancient now OP should think about upgrading it wont be to expensive only around $2000 new Multicore Ryzen or Intel Processor , Graphics Card if you can get one thats not scalped and a fast NVME SSD.
"it wont be expensive around 2000usd" which also need to convert to another currency. i cringed so hard and sometime laugh when a pc nerd saying this and that. like i stated before, didnt expect much but original setting on 30-40 will do.even low setting is fine. its not like i expecting ultra 60fps to begin with. saying i need to consider upgrading my card for 2000usd just for a few years old game lmao. not so bright

It didn't fix the performance after all. The game IS running smoother but it's still dropping 15-20 frames... what a shame. :( I mean at least it's a SMOOTH drop now but it still sucks and it's still noticeable.

hello there, just launched the game, and i'm noticing some performance probelms that i hadn't expected, the game in some areas drops under 30 fps while i play in 1080p at medium setting except for textures with vsync active, my specs are: i7-6700, rx 5700 xt, 16 gigs of ram 2133Mhz.
I noticed that sometime the utilization of the gpu is really low, and with vsync it never reach 100%.
I don't think that this should be the performance that i should get with my specs, are there any new drivers for rx 5700 xt for GoW? Or any suggestion on how to make the frame rate better?
Takes much vram on ultra settings (above 8 gb)
Arkveveen 15 ENE 2022 a las 3:30
Yeah, the game doesn't run well even on "original" settings, it drops to 55 frames in the problem areas. So turning on XMP didn't help after all, but at least it's much smoother feeling now ( the frame drops are much smoother now ), but still not acceptable... I don't know what to do but get a refund, which really pains me because I really wanted to play this game, but as usual everything has to suck. Remember, Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6Ghz, AMD RX 6600 XT 8GB, and 16 of RAM with a 75hz 1080p 1920x1080 setup.
