Yeah it's all about retention rate and they are doing the right moves to retain as many of their fortnite kids as possible.
Smart play. They know they won't convert any of us steam stalwarts but if the fotrnite kiddies don't care about the extras steam has... well that's their thing.
So the only way to convert those kids to purchaser would be playing the waiting game till their mature enough to think about buying a game
And at the moment, that trash is losing money each year
Look, the thing with EPIC and Sweeney is they basically know more about steam and its profitability due to steamspy than basically anyone outside of Valve. All they are doing is trying to secure as big a slice of the lucrative PC gaming pie as they can.
All I'm saying is that Epic is spending their money wisely on the growth of their storefront even though at first sight to us it might look like they are throwing their money away on their inferior garbage platform.
Yeah it inconveniences us some as steam users but time exclusives aren't that big of a deal. We aren't the target of their efforts at any rate.
I was kinda hoping we would get to a point where all major games were available on Steam, Windows store and Epic on launch.
Edit: Epic is kinda like the Nintendo of PC gaming. Instead of trying to actually compete with the competition they instead try to use exclusives to get people.
oh wait
