Invisible Excavator Bug

On the 2nd or 3rd mission. Can't complete the level because it thinks there are still excavators on the map. The Recycler will take away the excavator model, but leaves a footprint of wasteland behind. When you hover over the patch of wasteland, a popup says "Excavator" even though nothing is there. You can grow grass and burn the patch to remove the excavator popup, but it doesn't register the excavator as being removed from the board by the game. Would love to play this game, but this is a game-breaking bug.

There's a thread on this already, current solution is exit to main menu and jump back in, it will fix the issue.

Tried exiting and reloading multiple times. Did not work. Bug still persists.

Another workaround that worked for me was to not build the research center. I think this issue arises because the research center changes the excavators so the code doesn't find the old model excavators

I'm surprised that there was no acknowledgement of the game breaking bug so far from the devs. Maybe they are all still on vacation or what's going on there?

This Problem is now several years old and the devs cant fix it as it seems.

Huh... I just read on the shop page that the game is unplayable to many people. I nearly finished the game (had the end sequence too) and didn't have the bug. Maybe because I don't build the research center and rarely use excavators.

Hi everyone,

We've seen that many people are struggling with the recycling count softlock issue, and we have just put out a fix for the excavators that were causing it.

The fix will only work on new maps after the update, not on maps in progress.

Please continue to let us know if you encounter issues.
