Performance for slightly below minimum hardware
Is there even the slightest chance a slightly below minimum GPU can manage with this game?

The rest of my hardware is up to snuff or just BARELY below the recommended for hardware. My GPU, on the other hand, is a 1660... Is there a chance of running this? Will it be possible for users to have startup settings or advanced settings to squeeze that small bit of performance out?

Seeing as this is VR (and a Stress Level Zero product) I imagine the minumum is what's required to get a stable 90 FPS. After all, this game runs amazingly on a Quest 2 with very little visual difference. What would the estimate on my performance be?

Ryzen 5 5600x
Nvidia GTX 1660
32GB RAM
m.2 SSD

I wouldn't worry at your specs. Just don't max out settings and expect to have below native res for your headset. But hey when you get the game why not experiment with the settings and if it doesn't run well you can always refund.

Haven't gotten my hands on boneworks, unfortunately. By the time I built my PC to this point, Bonelab was in the works.

Buy Boneworks. It's worth a playthrough.

If I can bug you to expand on this a bit - I've got a similar setup to the OP here, and my computer ran most of Boneworks pretty well, but performance would nosedive in larger areas like the level in that shopping mall or the early section in MythOS City. Mid-sized areas like the first sandbox map ran just fine.

If you're able to share, does this game feature a lot of those big hubs? Or does it focus more on smaller spaces? That would probably be a pretty good indicator of what my performance (or really anyone with a weak GPU) will look like.

Big area's would "nosedive" for you because of CPU not GPU. Too much overdraw and drawcalls for your cpu to handle. There isn't anywhere in Boneworks that should overload your GPU unless its got sub 5gb vram and you're running on a high texture res setting.

I've tried Boneworks on my PC, which is RX570(4gb), 16GBRAM, Ryzen 5 2600, and it ran almost perfectly on low setting. Yes, with some lags here and there, but my GPU is low-end for VR in general so i hope it will run BL the same even if i'll need to lower the resolution.

Ah sorry - I misspoke. It's interesting to hear the specifics on just why a game like this can be kind of demanding on your CPU. I ended up buying the game and performance has been slightly better than what I was seeing in Boneworks, probably due to the more compact environments. Really enjoying it so far and loving the little bits of story sprinkled around on the clipboards - congrats to you and your team on a great launch :-)
