Bonelab IS a sandbox. And you're playing it wrong.

BoneLabs is a sandbox, except you need to download community made mods and the campaign is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and has nothing to do with the actual sandbox.

It's Garry's Mod except in VR except you also need to install a ♥♥♥♥ ton of things OTHER PEOPLE MADE.

Unfortunately I am angry at the game. It should have been better. I think it's great people are enjoying it but I remain disappointed and will move on to greener pastures.
Game is mediocre atm, that's what it is.

Mediocre and buggy as hell. Somehow they made a sequel that feels like an early prototype of the original.

GMod players explaining how buying every Valve game to play Dark RP only to still have to install 50 anime player models for the admins is better then modding Bonelab.

whats so bad about that? it simply allows us to make anything, the only limit is the creativity of modders. really this feature just adds to the game.

It seems there's a misconception of what the game is actually trying to be. I don't think it was trying to be the next big sequel to boneworks through narrative or mechanics. The main goal of this game was to deliver a boneworks like experience to those with quest (specifically ones without a PC, a large majority of the VR market.) narrative wise, the game gives us some world building elements of the story SLZ is building through there two games Duck Season and Boneworks. It delivers another unique journey but intentionally holds off directly referencing the events of boneworks to much(there are still some references). What i really enjoyed about the story was how it feels like a ♥♥♥♥ You to what Meta is trying to do with VR. Obviously the game was made for quest, but its theme directly contradicts Meta's locked down approach to their products which i think is cool. (there's also other more direct instances of this, like the graffiti that says "No more Metaverses.") Mechanically not much has changed from boneworks, and i do agree that the initial release level designs were a bit lesser than boneworks but it's clear they're working on it through patch #2. But yea this was a ramble.

edit: Thank's for the jester whoever did it, it's better that you realized you had no point then see you go on with no valuable input to start a embarrassing thread for yourself.

♥♥♥♥♥ I didn’t buy this $50 lobotomized quest title parading around as a pcvr suitable game to get the epic intellectual and meta underlying theme of the game relating to the current economic status of the virtual reality market.

have another jester , just a wittle treat

Except the constrainer is included already in Bonelab, you can unlock it and you can use it to make weapons and even attach weapons to the Go Kart if you want.

Just because you lack imagination and creativity doesn't mean everyone else does.

By the way your comment proves you didn't watch the video.

I don't understand why you just said, "your playing the game wrong that's why you think it sucks." If this game is a true sandbox, it would have better access to mods. The fact that they asked the user to drop $40 on it and have nothing to do in the base game, then tell us to make the content, they at least got to make doing that easy and better overall. Boneworks wasn't considered a "sandbox game" and if you took the time to get third party software to add mods, it was as good as the system we have in place now. At least in Boneworks, there were re-playable levels that actually had content instead of them being glorified tutorials. The SDK is half of what it should be if it were a good sandbox game. Mod management in the files and in the game sucks. I should at least be able to navigate the spawn menu without having 100 different tabs that I have to scroll through to get to where I want to be. With that being said, credit where credit is due, the avatar system is dope, but how far can you keep a game alive with only skins? It would have been worth it if they extended the campaign to make more levels like "the ascent" to give us something to hold us over while they work on the back end. Even better, it should have shipped with workshop support. Also the total silence from the devs is the only thing truly making me mad. If they said something from time to time, it would make this ♥♥♥♥ show much better.
