Well it was designed for the quest, I have it on steam, so not impressed.. But then it wasen't written for PC. I suggestu get it on the quest

I prefer to play it on steam since it is easier to mod.

And if your Quest breaks you still have the game if its on Steam...

Don't buy it.

i have it on steam so i could mod it but the avatar mods wont work for me for some reason. also this game really needs a workshop so i can subscribe to mods easier.

You can still mod it on quest 2, you have to connect it to a pc or something and install mods into the game files.

Quest 2 Version:
- no cable (allthough you could use wire-less solutions with a Steam Version)
- highly optimized, starts in seconds and works smooth
- you should compare Steam vs Quest 2 Version on Youtube, because the Quest 2 version has graphic limitations
- moding is the same as on pc version (but really huge level mods will not work for sure)
- multiplayer support in the future is very unlikely due the hardware limitations

PC version:
- better graphics
- less optimized, some players have serious issues (in this case you can refund and grab the Quest Version)
- Multiplayer support (kinda) today and likely oficial for the future

Take your pick.

If you buy on the Oculus store you get access to crossbuy so you can play both Quest 2 standalone and PCVR, but if you're only interested in PCVR and keep most of your games on Steam then Steam is still a good option

quest version looks decent, but when I tried the steam version there's just no going back
So if you have a gaming laptop like I do that isn't up to snuff for Boneworks, the original, and a not-so-good internet connection, absolutely get the Quest 2 version. If you've souped a lot of money into a computer and internet, I suggest the PCVR version just because it looks/runs better, and the mod selection is WAAAAAY more robust.

What computer will you be running the game on? I have a AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 910 Processor 2.60 GHz for my CPU and a RX 460 for my GPU. By the way the computer is from 2008. But it runs great and one you get the game running it is super smooth.

I bought BONELAB in the Oculus store. Will it be possible to add it to my Steam Library?
