Jumping on wands is pretty broken. And I still haven't figured out how to sprint in bonelab.
Unsupported means they can't give tech support help on them since they didn't design the game around them. They DO work (with a few issues).
Personally, I have tried to create modified Steam VR bindings, so that I can use toggle-grip rather than the Carpal Tunnel inducing default.
Personally, I'm NOT playing until myself / the community figures out a better way to handle Vive wand usage. The issues all add up to me and I'd rather not play a flawed experience.
TO CHANGE BINDINGS, YOU WILL NEED TO SWITCH TO THE STEAMVR BETA BRANCH. THEY WILL NOT WORK OTHERWISE.
Here's a list of issues I'm currently having with the Vive wands:
- After grabbing a gun WITH MODIFIED CLICK-GRIP BINDS, I need to press my grip button THREE times to let go of what I'm holding on to. With the MP5K, this issue is also prevalent in the foregrip.
- I'd LIKE to grab a new magazine with just the trigger, rather than the grip button AND the trigger button. This seems like a game issue, rather than a controller issue, so I guess we'll have to wait for 1Marrow to be moddable too (if ever), as the primary moddability seems aimed at custom models and game content instead of engine-level features.
- Thumbs are frozen in a weird position. This is purely cosmetic, as it's not caused me any in-game issues (yet).
- Whether I jump / crouch is a 50/50 dice-roll. I don't know if there's a specific knack I need to learn which makes my character always jump / crouch when I want to. I'm a physical croucher anyway, so I couldn't care less about a crouch keybind. Wish I could turn it off.
Good to know
