Forgive Me Father is a generic boomer shooter with a generic premise, but a nice art style. However, starting from world 3, the levels begin to get longer, more tedious, more annoying and more stingy with save points. Now I'm at world 5 and I just can't take it anymore. Like most DOOM clones, it has well and thoroughly worn out its welcome, and I desperately hope the sequel fixes these stupid levels.

Won't launch on my main rig. Lag's on my laptop because textures are gigantic in size despite the game looking like this. Otherwise it's a great game.

DONT BUY THIS GAME. I liked the game and everything was nice until 3rd hour. After 3rd hour, the game started crashing when I complete a level and click on next level button and when I die and try to restart the level. I still wanted to play so kept pushing because I wanted to see the end but that was a huge mistake because at 5th hour, its not possible to play anymore. I cant even open the game anymore because it crashes. There are many people facing with the same problem and afaik developer team doesnt provide a solution.

Great atmosphere. Great combat mechanics. Everything feels fast paced and fun. Pew pew pew.

Very fun arcade shooter, the simplicity mixed with the challenging enemies makes it addicting

The game had no issues running on both my RXT 3070 and my Steam Deck. Runs in fullscreen borderless and i have not noticed any major glitches.

The gameplay is fantastic fast paced adrenaline filled boomer shooter gunplay with enjoyable movement. Most levels took around 5-20 minutes to complete. the game wasn't incredibly difficult at Medium difficulty, but i did struggle on a level or two. Took me overall about 8 hours to complete from start to finish.

The Boss fights are pretty straight forward, but unique enough to be enjoyable.

The graphics are probably the most intriguing thing about the game. It has a very unique and flat art style as if all the objects in the game are printed out on paper.

The game has replayability in the form of hunting for secrets, playing on different difficulties, two different characters, a simple skill tree that changes how weapons function, and an endless mode.

The Story was surprisingly straight forward for a Lovecraftian horror game.

Overall id give this game a 7/10. Well worth the asking price. Can't wait for the sequel.
