As Neitsuke said timing is link to FPS. I bet complainer like Leo, you Gordo play at low FPS from like 60-120. Ive a 240hz monitor and I playing it at 240fps + I let the VSync off to uncap the fps. Getting over 300fps ingame. Thats why i getting perfect over perfect all the time. Stop whining and get rid of your low end pc.

You can have on the other hand a true 144fps+ with a 144hz+ gaming monitor
144fps is great but slow/fast will be 2-3cup outside perfect . 240fps+ youll get perfect slow/fast on your bad hit meaning youll be just outside the edge of perfect making the shot almost perfect.
If you change fps you need to recalibrate too.
A gaming monitor at 144/165/240hz is a most. A hd tv for gaming is a no no in my opinion.
On top of all that, 2k23 made it a lot worse by making the Perfect white zone a lot smaller compared to 2k21. Back in that game with irons and wedges, you could still hit Perfect even with a slighty off tempo (This also means that a hit off tempo would also be far less worse since it was closer to the white zone). This is because the white zone was wider, and the dial gap a lot smaller.
Clubs also had a natural rising forgiveness stat from driver > woods/hybrids > irons > wedges, which was also removed on 2k23 where all clubs have equal base stats no matter what
Not meant to sound trollish but this topic drew my attention and I wanted to share my opinion in it because I play without the swing timing and the game's really nice this way and no, it's not too easy because you are playing as a golfer so you are supposed to at least play decently and again without the timing skill is still involved, and yes it's easier but I don't see why it shoulnd't be? It still depends on you actually playing well and the difference between the swing timing on, hitting the ball 8 times to the green versus no swing timnig and then the same distance taking about between 2-4 hits is what I think we are frustrated about.
Anyway. You do you, and enjoy the game by playing probably with a controller where the timing isn't... or doesn't matter so much but yeah.. I'd say devs, also please consider us mouse players.
Unironcally wind should play a bigger part in the game instead of the swing tempo.
