Since you have been intensely involved with golf for so many years, I (perhaps others too) would be very interested to know what equipment you use with PGA Tour 2k23 and what difficulty settings you have set on all positions!? Thank you very much. :)
It beats playing either alone or in the rediculous career mode. BTW, I've been playing golf IRL for 67 of my 74 years.
The years go by so quickly. :)
I play the career because I want to play the game, I don't care where. In career mode you can earn VC through the rivals. Optics is also important for me, for example the clothes.
I don't like the companies either, you are alone there as well.
But I agree with you, the career itself is to sleep. Good for falling asleep.

I don't think there's any stats on the balls that would effect putting. Maybe roll, but I don't think so.

I already believe that this has to do with the ball fittings. They influence the bounce and roll significantly. Without ball fittings we are outside the physical behavior of the balls. So we just buy VC to get the fittings.
