Greens are broken.

The greens are way to fast. no matter what green speed is set to the ball rolls forever. 157 green speed feels way worse then 187 speed on 2k21. Trying to read a break is almost impossible, You see no breaks and ball breaks real hard or if you see breaks ball just goes straight. I hope they are working to fix this on next patch. Because right now all greens are like ice!

OK, so I just played St.George Pins #3. I found a few greens with false fronts and quite a few slanted back to front. But nothing unmanageable until I got to 15 and 16. Granted those two seemed a bit unfair. But let me ask you, have you ever seen Augusta National? On the front 9, there are two par 3's. The second one, 6th hole IIRC, I ve watched the pros come up a tad short and have the ball roll all the way back down the hill and stop 90 yards away. And this after their tee ball landed on the green. I've walked with the pros as a scorekeeper for 25 years and I can tell you that the courses they play have holes like this. BTW, I still managed to score -6, even with a 10 on 16. My only suggestion, before you hit your approach, use the scout cam and look at the slope of the green. If it seems severe, do whatever you need to do to leave your ball under the hole. But, again, most unfair greens you will find are user designed courses where the designer is just "being cute." Oh, about Augusta. I've been there and the greens are as hilly as any you will find. I also worked the Women's US open at Sebonak where there were 6 foot high moguls in the middle of the greens.

Since you have been intensely involved with golf for so many years, I (perhaps others too) would be very interested to know what equipment you use with PGA Tour 2k23 and what difficulty settings you have set on all positions!? Thank you very much. :)

i think the putting is fine, except for the fringe bug.

I use mouse and kb. I'm on pro setting with no putting aids. Mostly I play in a society.
It beats playing either alone or in the rediculous career mode. BTW, I've been playing golf IRL for 67 of my 74 years.

The years go by so quickly. :)

I play the career because I want to play the game, I don't care where. In career mode you can earn VC through the rivals. Optics is also important for me, for example the clothes.
I don't like the companies either, you are alone there as well.
But I agree with you, the career itself is to sleep. Good for falling asleep.

I don't think there's any stats on the balls that would effect putting. Maybe roll, but I don't think so.

The big problem is All the greens are fast here. people say have you seen Augusta greens yes but that's one course with fast green speeds in real life. all greens here are all fast even the one suppose to be slow like the 101 greens just roll forever.

Yup!
I already believe that this has to do with the ball fittings. They influence the bounce and roll significantly. Without ball fittings we are outside the physical behavior of the balls. So we just buy VC to get the fittings.
This was clumsily solved.

The roll stat does affect the speed of the green, but putter wise nothing will affect how the ball rolls beside how straight you swing and how good your timing is

It depends on the course designers. There ARE courses out there with slow to medium greens. And if I'm not mistaken, before you begin a round, you can go into the Course settings and change the firmness and speed of the greens.

in PGA Tour 2k23 that some greens are positively, without a doubt, no question...a fact...out of control. Clueless people picking pin placements. Or it could simply be bad designed greens. Hard to tell. Not fun to play...not fair. But maybe that's what they wanted all along.

I believe that the Dev. team for 2k23 is not the same group that developed 2k21. How could the greens be so out of control, as you stated? It makes no sense to me.

The roll of the greens is out of control. I submitted one designed course to 2K21 and resubmitted it to 2K23 and it is now unplayable. I have nearly 600 hours on 2k21 and have already used my fast forward button after shots more in this game than ever in the other. It takes forever for the ball to stop rolling on the greens.

Putting is alot harder and more frustrating in this game, way to fast on most course, and the phantom breaks have always been a thing
