or maybe your mousesettiings are way to much? or controller.
without more info, we dont know, game plays great for me.
Go to Training > Swing Calibration
After having done the calibration myself, this seems like a VERY IMPORTANT STEP that really should be part of your first play-through in the tutorial.
But I do think this: at first, putting seemed very hard to me.
But I paid attention to the swing meter and the on-screen distance and height measurements (not to mention the green slope indications). and with practice used them to figure out some regularities. After doing that, now I find putting to be pretty predictable and controllable.
I'm now rated above 600 online. There are some who are much better, of course. Yet the point is this: I started WAY below that rating initially. But the game does seem to be learnable. Rather like a, you know, sport.
I use the three-click swing. Frankly, I don't know why anybody would not. It doesn't make the game easy, but it does seem to make it learnable, as I previously noted.
Frustration doesn't help. Careful observation and practice seem to help.
I think this is the best video golf game in history. And that's saying something, since there have been a couple of good ones over the years.
Slippery greens have been an issue since the game launched. You should learn quickly that the distance given by default is always too much, and to look at the green slopes and compensate for it especially if the slope is downhill. Add backspin to help
I personally have no issue with the gauge speed myself. Look for the sensitivity setting in the options, likely set too high causing every motion to move the power gauge too quick from the start
Yes, if only I had less experience, then I'd be more knowing. :)
Nevertheless, I'm not having much trouble with the putting in this game. I did at first. But patience paid off.
