Can you play custom courses in career mode?

All I want is to be able to play through a career with user-created courses, can you do that yet?

as Q-School, Korn Ferry Tour, Korn Ferry Tour Championship, or the

event, or view course details under SCHEDULE.

yes you can substitute some courses for custom ones in the tours.

This raises an interesting point. In 2K21, the community came up with some really good renditions of Pebble Beach, Augusta and St. Andrews. All were created using made up course names since the real life courses were not licensed. Since these were outside of the main game, the courses were allowed.

So if somebody made a good version of, say, Pebble Beach but called it Stony Shore. Could you swap that into the career mode? I'm guessing it is the course name that has the copyright on it but can HB hide behind that?

I don't know how or if custom course swapping is possible in Career Mode with 2k23. I personally however have never been able to accomplish this in 2k21. It would have made playing Career Mode a little more interesting.

any course that has the pencil symbol next to it, can be swapped for curated created courses.

Alternately go to Schedule and left-click on each tournament. There will be a Swap Course button to the right. It will be lit up for swappables and greyed out for fixed courses.

Not sure how this impacts any courses you have played in the current season since mine are greyed out but look the sort that could be changed. Will not know for them until next season.

The downside is (unless I'm doing something wrong) there are only 21 courses you can use to swap in and some of those are already used in other tourneys. I guess that answers my question about rogue copies or unlicensed courses being imported, in other words, no.

It is a yes, you need to change the search filter or it will only show official courses.

There is a search filter (and others) in Casual mode. When you use Swap Course in Career mode those Search options are not there. You only have access to 21 official courses. BTW, I'm on PC.

Two odd things, though. When you swap the course, it warns you that replays will not be available for non-official courses which implies they could be used? Also you are not prevented from duplicating a course already on the schedule for that season so mpotentially, find one you like and keep playing there?

Only a select few custom courses sadly, i wanted to be able to use my own courses in career mode seeing as i make all my courses in a tournament style ( hate tricked up fantasy courses ) however, i cannot choose a single course of my own...yet another glaring omission from these useless developers.

IMO Career mode is worthless unless you can swap out for any course you want. No interest in playing the same courses over and over.

I really wanted to find a Augusta and add it into career :( so I can not do that?
