So long as it still has 3-click, of course. Other methods are, uh, underwhelming.
But if 2025 were to have BOTH Pebble Beach and Augusta?
I'd have to howl at the moon with glee!
This time for me to purchase, if its not a new engine I will pass at any price
Better Graphics is always welcome, but only if we still have the course designer/customs courses, as THIS is what keeps the game always alive at least for me!
Wishlist:
- still have the course designer/custom courses
- BIGGER course designer with a more easy approach (for noobs) /tools/more assets/import assets/make own assets
- the option to delete courses, if you published them (by error or not)
- a better filter function for courses like filter by designer!
- no purchasable balls!
- more customization options for your skills
- better graphics
- better netcode/servers (got very ofter some kind of weird disconnects and never found a reliable solutions for that)
- more options to customize your golfers appearance -> please give us "Game Face" as you have some kind of that in NBA 2K23
- more options to save a replay in online/private matches (not only in career)
- a better anti cheat and an easy way to report suspecious players in game
This game has a good foundation and great community so keep going to improve this further!
So I don't really think that's what they will do.
In any event, keep 3-click, add a few more amazing official courses (Augusta? Please? If negotiable and lawful? Please?) and I'll happily buy the next version.
3-click is not a joke. Especially not THIS game's 3-click system, which is the best I've ever seen. I understand there are others who think the "moving the thumbstick" system is better, but that's not my experience or preference. Indeed, it's why I quit playing before THIS game came out.
And I did try. I practiced and banged around my controller. No thanks. It's still plenty of challenge with 3-click and it's a lot more fun. PLUS there are handicapped players who can play the game well with 3-click, who cannot bang around a thumbstick to play.
I loved Links. I loved the original Tiger Woods. But right now, THIS provides the most dependable fun of any golf game I've ever played.
So if they improve it still further? Count me in. But let me keep my cowboy hat. A man needs his hat.
Can't agree more. 2k has abandoned their client base. 2k23 was a step backwards from 2k21. Lost the ability to rejoin a multiplayer game if kicked. No updates at all addressing players being kicked. Have always been an early adopter but now will not even entertain another upgrade with them. Will have to watch the forums if a new version comes out.
Much of what you say is pure gold, however to suggest 2K will do anything to reduce it's chance to monetize it's player base is so unlikely as to be predictably impossible.
Also, no offline saving of my career or stats, is no-buy or wait for 70%off sale.
