It's not only about whether you have the specs to run the game, it's also to see if your specs match anyone else with the same issue.
As a Programmer/PC Tech, I find Steam + Win 11 can cause issues. I recommend do not run game from Library, ( it runs in windowed mode) - Run from Icon on Desktop.
Also: i can't be sure this is your issue, but this has worked for most that I recommended to do.
My new PC has an i5 8 core & MSI RTX4060 @ 8G. Win 11 ... - Windows 10 or 11 may be the cause.
Try this: Go to your Control Panel & Power Options, change the Basic Balance to Ultimate ( for Gaming ) if you have Norton Security, do the same in it.
In the game, hit the M key, go your Graphics & turn OFF the Depth of Field & Bloom & Vsync. also scroll down to Advanced settings & lower grass, cloud, trees, shadows, water. It doesn,t matter how high end your Processor & Video card is. This Game sucks resources. It will make your Video Card run hotter than most other games.
2nd also: My Logitech Driving Force GT Steering Wheel wouldn't load the Drivers from Logitech for it, as Windows Security was blocking it from installing the Drivers.
So I suggest to Turn off Windows 11 Device Security.
In the Device Security is "Core Isolation" - Open it & turn it OFF. ( all this does is is protect you from possible Drivers & such from being installed if Microsoft doesn't recognize it as safe ).
Your game is safe so you can do this & see if that works. ( I have not turned mine back on since Jan. 2024 & no issues from it ).
Just purchased this game through steam, brand new laptop, and loads up and then goes through the process and then just crashes and goes back to steam deck play option man what a nause why do they make these things so unplayable. It is 2024 lads.
