Active societies
Are there active societies that use pro settings? I just want a society that I can play an event on my limited time and not really wanting to spend time grinding on master for the TGC.

They are public ones I found in a search. I don't play them much because they are inconsistent, and some use some silly courses that feel more like mini-golf, or extreme golf. I prefer a more traditional sort of course.

One is the official 2k society. But that one is full of people who shoot 50 every round

Another is called Good Good Golf

I forget the others at the moment.

Duck Hook is set up the way I like it. Four rounds, no fancy balls, variable weather, ground conditions and pin positions. I've kept un-official courses to a minimum because one of the guys had trouble with one. But I mix them in occasionally. There's room for more if anyone stumbles upon this thread looking for a casual society to compete in. Current event goes until Tuesday at TPC Scotsdale. 100 entry fee, but you'll win some or all of that back if you finish the event.

I wanted to see if this might help your friends get better. I was using a ps5 controller on pc with Bluetooth and would get massive slows and fasts out of the blue and it was really jacking me up. I wired my controller into my pc last night and it made a huge difference. I also saw that a controller wired into an Xbox or ps5 removes a lot of the latency. Don’t know if this will help, but wow what difference it made for me. Now if I could only fricken putt.

I use a cheap USB X Box knock off and it works great. I thought I played well this week, especially on the par fives which are vulnerable here. I'll log in tonight to see how I fared haha.

Only one player in our group needs a lot of help. Unfortunately he has no managed to improve since joining us, and I've given him tips, ways to get the timing down, using different techniques like using the audio cues to establish a cadence, but he continues to struggle. He hasn't made a break through like you have managed, but he has a good attitude and has fun even shooting 100 every round. That's all that matters, and I respect him for keeping at it.

Good luck in the new event. Starts tonight!

If he has any questions or I can help in anyway I would be happy to try and help. I hope to put some heat on you this week.

This course is receptive, and you'll have to be sharp I reckon to put the heat on. I played the first three rounds last night, and shot my lowest ever 54-hole total I think. I'll probably shoot 81 in the final round lol. Good luck mate, nice opening round.
