Diagnosis : Hopeless
Fix : Three click
Now I am finding that this swing is really impossible to figure out.
Did I buy the wrong game possibly? Maybe EA PGA Tour really is better.
Or maybe they are both terrible when it comes to the swing.
I am confused!
You have "Fittings" that can adjust a half a dozen types, that can upgrade your clubs & make your swing better. Timing to, but you need to hit the sweet spots on your Swing Meter for a smooth shot.
Fittings are in your Locker. You do have to buy them ( one time only to own them ), & then go to "Clubs" select a club & Fit the Head, Shaft, Grip, with the settings that are best. ( It will tell you on the Right side area what the increase is for each type.
You know I 3 click & you beat me in a Ranked ( Pro level). you know your wrong about it, yet you keep hammering it in here. Please stop. It's now just annoying & worn out.
Yes. But it's V.C. ( game money you earn for playing ).
How much a difference do new clubs make? Is it a small advantage or a big one?
Also, if I want to play this game with my friend with 2 joysticks on the same computer, I will have better clubs then him because I played the game already?
It's no longer clubs that make a difference. In 2K21 it worked like this, but 2K23 changed to making all clubs the same, any difference in brand is cosmetic only (and they have different contact sounds)
Instead, they introduced the fittings mechanic. Now you can upgrade the grip, shaft and clubhead to alter the capability of your clubs. The effect is relatively strong. For example a fully upgraded driver probably adds 30 yards to your tee shots over a stock one, and that is significant.
I like this as I can use the same things I use in real life and not be concerned I am losing any possible advantage. So I play with Hogan clubs, Nike apparel and Titleist ball (with black number like a balata Titleist). And I just upgraded the fittings to make them as good as possible.
The goal is having a full set of legendary clubs. You can upgrade your unused or inferior fittings and turn them in to the next higher grade. Doing this means eventually you'll have nothing but legendary fittings.
Don't ignore the new archetype too. This will have some effect on your play. Personally I like Sculptor, but try them all and see which one you prefer.
I would too haha. My average driving distance in our society, over probably 30 events, is 326. Of course that includes all of the holes where I hit iron or 3-wood off the tee, which affects the average. And sometimes hazards or other things make me knock it down a little, you don't always rip it, you know? Plus Sculptor as the archetype does not boost power like some others do. But anything out past 300 is going to play well.
