Save Corrupted
Just recently after i launch 2k23 and title screens end (click Continue) I get screen that reads "Save Corrupted - Loading corrupted saved content failed. The content will be deleted" [Confirm] When confirm is selected then game starts but all my settings for game play gone like I am a new player... I have tried uninstall and clean install both game and steam but problem is persistent. Something went wrong on server? How do I fix? Game is unplayable as is.

Is all your Golfers Clothes & fittings still there ? If so you will have to pay again to refit them. I had a similar problem when i installed game on my new PC a couple weeks ago. I was able to do this. Hope this might help.

Didn't seem to affect Locker room or Club settings. When game sponsor credits are done and I select "Continue" I get pop up window "Save Corrupted - Loading corrupted saved content failed. The content will be deleted" [Confirm]. I have no choice but to select {Confirm} then game loads and I have to select controller (Mouse or Keyboard) and Game level (beginner, Amateur, etc) and the game takes me directly to lessons and can not bypass lessons. If I complete the prelim lessons on Swing control. the game home screen will load and I can play but my game play settings are set to default. This happens every time I launch 2K23. I suspect based on my efforts to uninstall and reinstall game, which did not resolve the issue, that the problem file must be on server or maybe un-install does not remove some files on my PC,

Completely uninstalled 2k23 and exited Steam. Completely deleted Steam folder from Win10 Program Files (86). Re-installed Steam from WebSite and re-installed 2k23, Problem is persistent. Now I am sure the corrupted file must be within Steam cloud user data and thinking I will need to create a new Steam account and hopefully my game purchases and account info can be migrated to new acct. Not sure how to do this. Any thoughts?

DON'T DO THIS: I don't know if you can transfer it. So: I would submit a ticket to STEAM Support & see if they can resolve it. It's my understanding that this game doesn't save on the Steam Cloud. But on it's saver ( not sure tho. ). One other thing you can try: is to go to LIBRARIES- Right click on game & select Properties. Then Installed Files then Verify Integrity. Let it complete and try to start the game again, Let me know if that works. If not submit the ticket to Steam.

Can anyone confirm that
"partition:\Documents\My Games\PGA TOUR 2K23\Common\Profilesxxxxxxxxxxxxx.data"
is the save file?

I cannot absolutely confirm it, but I've seen people claim that it was in the past, and that copying it from one computer to another restored their items. Really, the entire PGA 2k23 folder, not just that file. I backup my folder occasionally in case of a bug.

Some important things to note here. This game does not have steam cloud support. Now, 2k may save some information about your character and profile in their own local servers. Which would be like 2k cloud. But Steam does not.

The safest bet when moving to a new computer is to backup that entire \Documents\my games\PGA TOUR 2K23 folder from the old computer to the new. That should theoretically fix the problem.

It's generally a good idea to copy your entire Documents folder from one computer to another. Almost all your save data and documents and files of importance are there.

Note: I was not moving game to a different host PC when problem surfaced. See prior discussions for detail, but in the end the problem was that when PGA 2k23 Game is launched [play] after installation, the Game was creating a Host Dir File Folder "c:\users\username\Documents\My Game\PGA Tour 2k23\*.*" which also replicated the same folder path in Micro Soft One Drive\My Games\PGA 2k23\*.*.
To resolve my issue I removed the My games Folder contents from MS One Drive. I stopped MS One Drive from syncing "Documents" folder with local Drive C:\ Users\Documents\ folder.
2nd re installed PGA 2k23 from Steam library and made note that c:\users\username\Document\My Game\PGA Tour 2k23\Common\*.data files updated with current Date & Time. I then validated that Micro Soft One Drive\My Games\PGA2k23\*.* files were no longer being created on MS One Drive. When I restarted the Game I did not get any "Corrupted File" splash screen and the game loaded normally, but initial game play still started as a new user, forced to set up user difficulty, mouse v.s. Keyboard, Swing lessons, etc. which I completed. I then made several other Game Play setting adjustments using game [Menu] and Exited the Game. I restarted Game [play] and as expected, the game started normally and the user game play settings I had made where persistent. Whew! Thank all for responding.

All good info. I ran into this onedrive / user documents issue with Skyrim and disconnected the sync long ago. What a pain that is.
Regarding backups. Good advice. MS's Synctoy is really handy for the big backup jobs. Maybe a bit overkill for 1 or 2 files though, but it is doable.

One Drive for Windows 11 is just an add on from Microsoft & is forced to ON & SYNC when Windows 11 is installed. It will cause tons of havick saving your files. There is no reason to have it in use unless you don't have an external Hard Drive ( i use a 4 Terabyte USB external Hard Drive to back up my files ). This also corrupted my email@outlook.com account from Microsoft. So, I uninstalled it permanently. It is not a part of windows 11.

I can think of a some good reasons to use it.
1) keepass2 has an encrypted password database which can be saved on it and accessible from all our computers and cell phones.
2) manuals manuals manuals from washing machine to Auto, very handy having these at hand anywhere anytime.
3) Immunization records
4) travel documents and tickets copies.
