DON'T DO THIS: I don't know if you can transfer it. So: I would submit a ticket to STEAM Support & see if they can resolve it. It's my understanding that this game doesn't save on the Steam Cloud. But on it's saver ( not sure tho. ). One other thing you can try: is to go to LIBRARIES- Right click on game & select Properties. Then Installed Files then Verify Integrity. Let it complete and try to start the game again, Let me know if that works. If not submit the ticket to Steam.
"partition:\Documents\My Games\PGA TOUR 2K23\Common\Profilesxxxxxxxxxxxxx.data"
is the save file?
Some important things to note here. This game does not have steam cloud support. Now, 2k may save some information about your character and profile in their own local servers. Which would be like 2k cloud. But Steam does not.
The safest bet when moving to a new computer is to backup that entire \Documents\my games\PGA TOUR 2K23 folder from the old computer to the new. That should theoretically fix the problem.
It's generally a good idea to copy your entire Documents folder from one computer to another. Almost all your save data and documents and files of importance are there.
To resolve my issue I removed the My games Folder contents from MS One Drive. I stopped MS One Drive from syncing "Documents" folder with local Drive C:\ Users\Documents\ folder.
2nd re installed PGA 2k23 from Steam library and made note that c:\users\username\Document\My Game\PGA Tour 2k23\Common\*.data files updated with current Date & Time. I then validated that Micro Soft One Drive\My Games\PGA2k23\*.* files were no longer being created on MS One Drive. When I restarted the Game I did not get any "Corrupted File" splash screen and the game loaded normally, but initial game play still started as a new user, forced to set up user difficulty, mouse v.s. Keyboard, Swing lessons, etc. which I completed. I then made several other Game Play setting adjustments using game [Menu] and Exited the Game. I restarted Game [play] and as expected, the game started normally and the user game play settings I had made where persistent. Whew! Thank all for responding.
Regarding backups. Good advice. MS's Synctoy is really handy for the big backup jobs. Maybe a bit overkill for 1 or 2 files though, but it is doable.
1) keepass2 has an encrypted password database which can be saved on it and accessible from all our computers and cell phones.
2) manuals manuals manuals from washing machine to Auto, very handy having these at hand anywhere anytime.
3) Immunization records
4) travel documents and tickets copies.
