I usually leave "turn order" turned ON, because I play online with a distant friend, and we like it to feel more like real golf (which it definitely does), so we watch each other shoot in turn. This also gives a bit of pause during which a man (or, of course, a woman) can drink a bit of ale. Or perhaps stout. Provided, of course, that the man (or, of course, the woman) is of legal age and location, and of appropriate mental and physical health, of course (I hasten to add, never wishing to be a bad influence).
The "turn order" setting is under one of the menus on the right hand side when setting up an online game to host -- maybe under the individual setting for the course or game you are about to play -- I'm not playing right now, so I'm not sure -- my memory is not helping me at the moment.
BUT, it is "turn order" (in quotes) that I turn off or on to affect whether I can see my friend hit the ball before it's my turn again.
This MIGHT answer your question, but perhaps the previous response figured out what you were asking better than I did, and his solution pertains to something different than I just discussed. I hope ONE of us helped you. If it wasn't me, I apologize for giving you something extra to read.
