I couldnt believe the fix.
I swapped my in game settings to MINIMUM on the refresh rate.
Went from choppy to smooth as hell
The game has NOT been crashing over and over for me. To the contrary. I remember only one crash in weeks, despite the fact that my internet is not golden. But I think my drivers are up to date, and my computer is fairly strong.
What do I find instead of crashes? Well, It seems that every time I turn around, we're getting a delightful new course. And not as a paid DLC, but as an addition to the game. Thank you.
What more do these developers have to do to get the raring this game deserves? It actually irritates me a bit to see this game fail to have an overwhelmingly positive rating on Steam.
Playing this game online with an old friend I can't see in real life (due to distance) is a lot of fun. We are both slowly improving -- figuring the game out from an operational standpoint, simply by empiricism.
I love this game. My time playing it now well exceeds 100 hours and I can see myself playing this for much more than a thousand hours in the long run.
There's a course I'd love to see that isn't there. But shall I whine about it, or be thankful for the MANY really good courses that ARE there?
I think I shall choose not to whine. As I said: I love this game. The addition of the three-click swing put it over the finish line for me. It is a treasure of a video game. A five-layer chocolate cake. A new sports car. The smile of a beloved wife. And so forth.
Okay, perhaps I exaggerate a bit.
