Swing Calibration back to default NEED HELP
I didn't know unfortunately that once I did the swing calibration it would be somehow locked. I am unable to get a perfect swing now. Is there anyway to reset it back to the default settings? I need help!

The only thing I can suggest is to go back to calibration and try to recalibrate your swing....

Thanks but it doesn't help. I need to know how to get it back to default.

I'm afraid it's how Mondyrocks said. You gotta recalibrate and hope it gives the perfects again. If not... calibrate again. Be prepared for a long sitting

Calibration does not work at all. There seems to be a bug where your first calibration you do gets locked and can't be changed after trying to calibrate after. That's why this topic was made in the first place

Since the game works server side for very much everything, I don't believe anything can be done, not even uninstalling and installing again, so we're going to have to live with it until they decide to fix those bugs whenever they feel like it

I have a different experience than Neitsuke on this one but I'm using a mouse maybe that lock in only happens with a controller? If I recalibrate again right now, my results are quite/slightly different. It took me almost an hour of redoing them 10 shots to get in that perfect range

Edited: Warning... this will also remove all fittings from your clubs :ouch: so you gonna be spending a lot of VC re-fitting them again

This 'solution' is based on how the Xbox guys are doing it. I just tested it and this works on PC/Steam:

1) Exit PGA 2K23
2) Switch steam into 'offline' mode
3) Close steam
4) In Documents/My Games, rename the folder PGA Tour 2K23 into PGA Tour 2K23 backup
5) Remove internet cable from PC (or switch off your router)
6) Restart PC
7) Start steam and the game PGA 2K23 and you will be greeted with a new/clean game
8) After you get back into the main menu, close down the game
9) Close steam
10) Plug back in the internet cable (or switch on router)
11) Start steam and switch to 'online' mode
12) Start the game back again

Maybe 1 or 2 steps too many but better be safe than sorry. This resets the appearance of your character and the calibration. You will maintain your progress (money, fittings, skills, level, career progress, sponsors, won cloths, amount of pay-to-win balls).

If anything fails, you will always have your backup 'PGA Tour 2K23 backup' folder

Carda NL is right with some exceptions. My game required me to be online so I could not perform step 7 as described. (perhaps its changed) With that said. it was enough to start the game without the PGA Tour 2K23 directory in Documents or renamed. The game required me to create my player and redo my settings but it seems to have done the trick. I had to go through the tutorial and my swing doesn't seem as finnicky (it's still hard. I can at least get Perfects again)

Really seems like this should be an option within the game but oh well.

I found this on youtube a while ago.
It makes for really interesting viewing....

@Mondyrocks

That's wild! I'm gunna go try this right now. I stopped playing, because I was so discouraged with this broken calibration.

Thank you for this.

If I simply delete my profile data in the documents folder, does it revert swing calibration to default?

No I do not think so, there is thread around here that says you have to be disconnected from the internet while deleting certain files for it to work

I can not play with swing-timing on because with a less than stellar internet connection, the latency/Lag delays start of the downswing and hardly ever get a "Perfect" swing. Playing offline gives me Perfect virtually every swing, but golf is supposed to be a social game and playing solo stinks (that is the major problem with EA's game, all play is virtually solo).

Someone did a youtube video about this very thing mate, but I think he altered his fps until he got it perfect....
