I wonder how many players who bought 2K21 and who played it a lot. which had no 3-Click method, play 2K23 with just the 3-Click method. At a guess not many I would say.
Their animations overall also do not show the "hick" part of the swing : It's always a smooth transition from upswing to downswing
There is also a 1-2 secs delay from setting up their shot to when the swing starts, since they have to spend 2 seconds to 3-click
The best way to confirm though is when they never upswing then cancel their shot
The main reason why people say 3-click is much better is twofolds : They do not have to deal with the randomness/offset of the tempo with traditional swing. And as mentioned earlier, they can be off Perfect a little bit and they don't have that high of a penalty compared to traditional swing since the dial for traditional swing has a much bigger gap when you don't hit Perfect
I personally find the swing stick more fun.. but the console and controller users have something figured out.. because in ranked they hit fast and accurate.. making it look easy.. Swing stick is nothing like that.. your only chance is 3 click and thats if it isnt freezing constantly.. Either way.. this game needs much work with the swing mechanics.. Frame drops should not be an issue.. i can have it locked at 165fps and mid swing it can drop to 90fps. Aand this screen hitching is horrendous.
I personally will stay with swing for sure though.
