3 click swing is coming back

3-click would be fine, the problem isn't that specifically but swing stick being busted in this game. If that would be fixed and work properly, then you would be hearing a lot less complaints about 3-click competitive wise

Not true. I already previously explained you how you can easily know whenever someone is 3-clicking or not

The swing animations make it very obvious if they 3-click or not especially when putting. Another good hint is a fluid swing animation when driving, and the ball going farther than a 100% power shot, which indicates the power was 110% and makes it obvious it is a 3-clicker, because when not 3-clicking, you -have- to pause for about half a second midswing to reach 110% power

If they never empty swing, then there is a good chance they 3-click. If there is a constant and similar delay from when they stop positioning/moving to swinging, then a good chance they 3-click. If the swing animation is very fluid and not FPS dropped all the time, also a very good indication
The best indication to confirm they 3-click remains putting. 3-clicking will render the putting animation to play very quick no matter the putting distance

I think there should be an icon next to a players name displaying which swing method they are using with an option for the swing player to change to 3 click if they see they are playing against someone using 3 click. No option if both are swing users though.

Not against anyone using 3 click but its basically a perfect swing every time on pro difficulty. I used 3 click for a couple of rounds and i found it so easy it ruined the game for me. I stick with mouse swing now in solo and ranked. If i am beaten by someone using 3 click, then so be it.
I use 3 click in topgolf only. Not enough time for practice swings.

I'm a converted 3 click user but I do agree that there should be separate online games for stick and 3 click and irrespective of what some 3 clickers might say, it is a lot easier than stick swing, especially on partial swing shots, which are so hard to judge on stick swing, making course management far more important when playing on stick swing....

NOT TRUE AT ALL - I 3 CLICK AND MISS SHOTS ALL THE TIME - THE SWING METER IS TWICE AS FAST IN PRO AS IT IT IS IN PRO AM. WHY DOES EVERYONE THINK THIS ?

Swing stick is for people with bad hand-eye coordination.
Anyone can play swing stick. You move the stick back. And you move the stick forward. Anyone with an opposable thumb can do it.

It's a bit of a silly comment without too much thought to be fair.

Ask yourself why three click is even in the game??
Most rational people would say it's there, to maximise the revenue stream for the company making the game....i.e. it will appeal to more people than if they only have stick swing.

This benefits everyone who plays the game by creating extra revenue, which means the developers are more likely to keep supporting the game.

And that, in a nutshell, is why it's there :)

Well, that's the first time in decades of gaming someone has referred to me as a good gamer. I'll take that, thank you but it really isn't true.

swing versus 3 click

The only issue I see is results. A swing hit's it perfect and a 3 clicker hits it perfect...same results. But if a swinger hears that horrible sound (the miss hit sound) you know really offline. But a 3 clicker shoots and you hear "that" sound you think ah-oh but no only misses by a couple yards. If you could make the 3 clickers miss a little more severe and the swinger a little less severe... and it becomes no longer an issue.

I am learning that it is because as long as the two clicks are at the same angle the shot tends to be relativity straight. meaning if you miss early or right side your can "make up" for it by hitting the same spot on the late click or right side. I think it is something they need to work out because it saves me all the time and seems like another unfair advantage when playing 3-click.

If it were me, I'd choose the method that I can play the best with .. meaning I try to maximize fun (the whole point of this).

Because swing stick is what makes the game fun for many and has been a gameplay staple since its first iteration on The Golf Club
3-clicking wouldn't be so hated if they didn't destroy swing stick in this game

I could be wrong don't play like I used to, but on 3 click you can msis click on the first white box, that sets up the bad hit sound but then you can counter that push or pull with a second click (draw/fade) so the shot ends up being ok, just little bit short on distance

I strongly believe the ability to compensate on 3 click is the big issue,

its blatantly obvious this was a money grab / micro stuffed remake of the last version
otherwise separating out the 3 clickers and the swingers either by match setups or different tours or society filters would have been work but absolutley the best thing this game will ever see
