Yeah, I think it is kind of ok that they don't want to believe you, but I would have appreciated if warning them beforehand had at least changed their dialogue after the event. Of course they can be still mad at you, but they should somehow acknowledge that you tried to give them a warning and therefore a chance...
I was hoping there would at least be "more" dialogue choices and impacts if you went out of your way trying to do the right thing, maybe even with a chance at turning your back on nemeton.
So anyway took my frustration out and beat the living sh... out of Molvina when i got back in town. Would have given Mombert the same treatment but seems he cant be aggroed XD
Developer has weighed in and seems interested in addressing some of the feedback.
Like anyone with even the tiniest bit of genre knowledge can see this is going to end badly from a mile away.
I was just baffled when the characters start guilt tripping you for something where you literally don't have any choice regardless. Just very strange design.
