What's the best sword in Act 2 and where to find it?
I mainly play sword and shield style and am using a blue tier sword right now, really need more damage against the monsters in Forest Primeval. I found purple tier axe, dagger, and spear in the Forest, I assume there must be a sword too. Can anyone share the location of a better sword? Thanks!

Best weapon is your fists but the best sword in Act 2 is the Long Sword from what I have seen and I have explored every where I can for that act and at my power level.

The first purple sword I got was from beating up Flynn in the remnant camp. He's the guy that's "always training", if you piss him off and win the fight, he drops a purple sword and shield, both 60 prowess. This also solves his quest for a recommendation. If you want a strategy for how to do it, kite him down the stairs and play ring around the pillar with a spear.

You can buy orange/legendary weapons for every type including shields/ranged from the Ruins Raiders, after you collect all the Signets. Doable in act 1. The melee weapons cost around 5000 coins so be prepared.

There is a sword in the ruins east of Remnants Camp. There are harpies, but you can avoid them. There's a puzzle with pressing bricks on the wall, you need to inspect them in order to press. I think its 4 of them, might be wrong. If you press all of them the statue on the right side of the ruins will move and the entrance will be revealed. There are no enemies there and you can find a berserker sword for 65 prowess.

You can do this even in act 1.

How do you start the Ruin Raiders questline? I found them underground and talked to them but it didn't give me a quest or anything

I went down there and found a sword, but it was not epic and not better than the Rare (blue) Longsword that I have been wanting to upgrade...is it hidden somewhere down there?

The name was wrong, it's "Farlan". Bald, scarred, angry guy, good friend of Eugen.

I would also like to know this. I got a deformed sword with 50 prowess requirement and very low damage.

I tried that and it turned out to be just a regular damage sword
