why so many people are hating on this game?

When I bought this game back in March it had overwhelmingly positive reviews, now I come back and see its recently been at mostly positive about people saying the devs are "sexist". What even happened??

idk, as far as i know. there was an ad where a boy was thinking to buy this game which some interpreted as devs not welcoming female players or whatever. Some stupid ♥♥♥♥ like this.

this happened in chinese, and only a minority of people got "triggered" as you can see by reviews. dont think too hard about it.

Before the DLC2 released, the author made a meme about a girl thinking about marriage but a boy thinking about the game.(You can found it in the artworks, with the characters reversed. My opinion is that it is quite similar to the 'girls/boys with time machine' meme)
The meme triggered some "feminists" (or feminazis?).
At first the issue wasn't widely spread, however, the author made an apologize to some female players (possibly for avoiding bigger trouble), which unfortunately made it widespread to most players including the ones holding extreme opinions. Some don't admit the apologize and others think the author surrendered to the feminazis. Many of them were also triggered and began attacking the game.

Hmmm I agree with most of what u said, but calling them "feminazis" seems kinda inappropriate to me. It's true that there is a swarm of radical feminists trolling in review section, many of them even bought this game just to spam a negative review, which is so
dumb, unnecessary and totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in my opinion. However, a considerable number of ppl are upset due to the explicit content of DLC2 and its presence in a game that is supposed to be a casual restaurant simulator, so I think it's reasonable for them to show their dissatisfaction by leaving negative reviews. Frankly for me I don't really like those hot spring CGs either, cuz they just came out of no where.
Anyways, I only wish this mess could be resolved asap.
