The Humor & Writing Is Awful

Reminds me of Ghostbusters 2016. Most of the dialogue for this game feels unscripted, like someone turned on a mic and said to the voice actors "say something funny and we will work it into the game somehow"

This game is the saddest attempts of comedy I have ever seen. Last time I witnessed something this pathetic comedy wise was Pauly Shore's ''performance'' in Bio-Dome. I honestly want to know who finds this crap funny??!!?

The only good thing going for this game is they brought in Redlettermedia to rift on movie. Those guys can only turn so much chicken ♥♥♥♥ into chicken salad, sorry fellas you couldn't save this turd.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand High On Life. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Justin's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike High On Life truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Justin's existential catchphrase "I only hit her when she deserves it" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Roilands's genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂
