Resolution Locked (can't change to 4k resolution)
I have a 4k monitor and a powerful graphics card. Yet, the game won't let me render at 4k. the resolution slider in the settings is locked and grayed out on 2194x1234. Is anyone else facing this issue or has a solution? I tried playing around in the config files with no luck.

By default, UE4 borderless video mode (Borderless Fullscreen) is running at native screen res no matter of what random res is listed and grayed out.

So you're saying it is running on 4k and the game is just naturally blurry/faded?

That depends on your selected video mode.

From what i've seen on youtube, the tutorial is blurry/pixelated on any settings.

Same. The resolution is greyed out and the game is quite blurry. I really hope this is not "working as intended."

Change the settings on the main menu instead of in-game

This thread is from 2022....
Correct answer is to set the game to exclusive fullscreen instead of windowed-borderless. Or, right click the exe and set disable the Windows fullscreen optimizations and set scaling performed by application.

open GameUserSettings.ini and change all resolution lines to your desired one.
And:
FullscreenMode=0
LastConfirmedFullscreenMode=0
PreferredFullscreenMode=0

This was what duck duck go said when I googled it, it worked for me (I’m using steam deck so I’m not sure if it’s different)

“If the resolution option is grayed out, try adjusting the settings from the main menu instead of in-game.”
