Rog Ally user UE4 fatal error - Solved

Any Rog Ally users solve this error? I've tried everything from uninstalling, -dx11, -dx12, and verifying files. It kind of sucks being 2hrs and now it's unplayable.

you have a intel CPU gen 10 or higher ?
anyway i would need much more information to help you a fatal error in UE4 can be related to a lot of things. even a windows internal error is possible.

It really just shows UE4 fatal error. Nothing more than that. It just started happening after the latest update to High on Life. The Rog Ally has the AMD Ryzen ™ 7 5800X processor.

Glad it’s not just me.

Had been working fine until the last big High on Life update on my ROG Ally.

Since the problem appeared after the patch

Verify gamefiles, restart Windows, verify gamefiles again

Second try deinstall/reinstall thd game

Found a fix. Browse to local files and there is the exe called Oregon. Run it as administrator and the error stops appearing and runs without crashing.

That worked for me until i closed it and went back to it. Theres another exe file to run as admin as well. Thats supposed to work but doesnt either. I just assume take it as a loss and delete the game.

Create a desktop shortcut of the icon of the Oregon file. I run it from the desktop as admin every time. It hasn't failed yet. I played about 3 times for 30 minutes each.

im getting the same error and it worked with making the game run as admin, but i cant play the dlc. its saying i dont own it even though i just bought it. Anyone got a fix for it?

The game is fixed the only issue is with the aura sync turn off in game and on the ROG Ally it works fine yayyy

Interesting, so the Aura sync is the culprit that cause a access violation in the ue4 engine.

That didn't work for me, but with so many people saying aura sync is the problem I'm getting skeptical about that windows thing. I might buy the game again later and give it another chance

It is I trued all the fixes even running as administrator and that didn't work then even hade it refunded butt I saw that and hade a big update and Asus new bios update so I said well the game look so good I would be willing to try it again plus steam was good about doing refund so I bought it agent and yes crashed agen played with all the settings nothing worked tell I saw a post about the aura sync conflict wint in turned it of on the ROG Ally and in the Game boom fixed and no administrator privileges yayyy it it's look great and even over 60fps on low settings. Try it .Good luck hope this helps out now I really love my ROG Ally..

after seeing that maybe it was aura sync i went to try it out. It worked for me. So if anyone is having any issues it is most likely the aura sync

This didn’t work for me. I turned off RGB, and I still get the fatal error.
