Is there a way to get some kind of HDR support here?

I doubt you can edit any files with the Gamepass version.

You can force add HDR to the game, but the game wont look good as it is not optimized for HDR.

You can try this by going to \AppData\Local\Oregon\Saved\Config\WinGDK
Open Engine.ini and add this

[SystemSettings]
r.AllowHDR=1
r.HDR.EnableHDROutput=1
r.HDR.Display.OutputDevice=5
r.HDR.Display.ColorGamut=3
r.HDR.UI.CompositeMode=2
r.FullScreenMode=0
r.HDR.UI.Level=1

You can tell this is working by the launcher logo being more vibrant as well as in the main menu.

Found this on reddit and been tweaking to get it to look good, but to no avail. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can tweak it and make it look good.

I only have the Vesa400 HDR and on my end it looks dark when playing.

Special K works just as good as native with better customization and is highly compatible with UE4 games. Been using this and it looks great on my LG TV.

Add Oregon-WinGDK-Shipping.exe on whitelist
Set game to run in windowed fullscreen. Quit.
Turn on windows HDR. Start injection. Run the game.
Open the HDR Widget through SK overlay (you can set hotkey by right click the widget)

Shame that Steam Screenshot still cant capture HDR.

Such a shame though it dont work in other games, I tried DarkTide which would also be awesome in HDR, but the HUD wont appear in that game to turn HDR on.

Tried to use Special K for HDR but when I use Special K some things turn black, especially eyes. Anyone know how to solve it?

Special K causes my game to freeze dunno why. Gamepass version bttw

Did you set windowed fullscreen first before starting SK service?

Does SK overlay show? What's your setting in HDR widget??
You can reset a game's SK profile in My Documents\My Mods\SpecialK\Profiles
Just delete the whole folder.

Is there a way to properly convert JXR images to jpeg or PNG? I tried it on windows Photos "save as" feature but it always over brighten the final output.

WCG image viewer could do that but output file size is not ideal. Xbox gamebar saves both .jxr and .png each time a screenshot is taken, the png file is 17mb at most in 4k, its one of the reason I use it.
