You can have a playthrough where you dont even see half of the map so depending where you start or where you move in the course of the game it can really be like a different map so to speak.
Would've been nice to travel over Eo, visit the major landmarks from the earlier games, flesh out the backstory of the different regions, and see what the world looked like before the convocation broke it up into the bunch of islands we found ourselves in back when we played TOOD in the good old days.
I agree it would be cool to have some extra maps* or random generation at some point, but so far this game has been all about quality over "cOnTeNt" and it's worked great. When they have resources to do it, would be cool, but this game is such a refreshing example of doing things well and with a specific vision instead of just throwing a lot of stuff at players.
