Anyone else beat both special bosses giving you a level 4 dragon sword and skip end tower?

a long time ago on PS3, i beat both special bosses, just bought the game today realizing it is on PC. this required a TON of luck to be fair and lots of PS3 restarts. it was the old fat PS3 model and it died so i never got to show the results and people said i was lying about beating the game when i said my character was not blue at the end...

bought it so i can do it again even tho i am way older and with a reaction time of 350 ms now...

what should happen is you save the shrine maiden, she gives you that necklace bead and put it under your dragon sword and you can now level it to level 4, you also have the black dragon sword right away.

i also beat Rachel's sister (arch fiend) and this resulted in me skipping the tower at the end, Ryu was not Blue, and the First boss guy you fight did not have the Black Dragon Sword, was about the same as the first time you fight but not holding back as much. (first boss mercy i guess.)

so just wondering if anyone else managed to do this. NGL i hope OBS can pick up the game so i can finally record it happening and show to my friend what the "true end" should have been! (been decades, wish me luck!)

I have no idea about this, but do you know if it's the same across Black and the Sigma version?

to be honest, i googled later to see if i was the only one who saw this and apparently it is a known thing now unlike 2 decades ago so...

but for the Black version (Original? i only played Sigma on PS3) i am not sure... maybe the boss was beatable but no rewards and people complained so they hid this Easter egg?

anyhow i got to the boss but i think i will train a bit lol... (kinda rusty... also using the PS3 controller on PC with SCPTools and thumbs not yet hardened enough lol... was feeling it! at least the PS3 is one of the most comfortable joysticks on earth!)

Are you talking about the Holy Vigoor Emperor final boss, with his 2 forms during boss fight? After beating his final form, Ryu is not blue anymore.

not sure, but i am talking about both bosses that you are "supposed to die" and it does not make you game over when you do.

that means the first one early game where you see the shrine maiden with the huge guy in armor and a big sword when you get in your village as it is burning then you got the fight with Rachel where she fights arch fiends, if you die, the game continues and does not go into "game over".

both of those fights you are supposed to lose, not sure what fight lets you skip the end tower and makes you not blue or if both needs to be won but, when i first saw the video in the end on PS3, i thought the file was corrupted and my character was blue, i was not in the end fight AND i did beat the game a 2nd time after a few years and did not bother to do the fights and i was blue in the end game fight.

right now i am slowly making cash points in the early game area where there is infinite ninjas and bats under the trap door, i think i might be able to fully get the wooden sword to level 10, this might help with damage output. (not sure if i can as level 9 will take a lot of points and i doubt there is another infinite spawn between any shops to that point in game...)

if that fails then i should just get the damage bracelet as that extra 5% is more usable than the extra 5% defense since you are 1 hit anyways. (tho he does go crazy with combos at low health. you can tank like 2 hits safely.)
