Vibration Support in NG1 Sigma
Has anyone else noticed the lack of vibration support function on Ninja Gaiden 1 Sigma? It might seem like a small thing, but having it missing has definitely stood out to me while playing this release.

I went back to play NG Black & noticed really good vibration support throughout. Considering NG2 Sigma PC has the option in the menu, am I just overlooking something in the menus for NG1 Sigma PC?

I also miss the vibration. There seems to be no option for it in the settings.
If Black has vibration why does not Sigma have it?

The PS3 & Vita Versions of NG1 Sigma didn't have Vibration support for some reason, so I guess they didn't care to add it to the PC port. Which sucks.
NG2 Sigma & NG3 had Vibration support on the PS3, that's why they have it also on PC.

IIRC, PS3 did not have vibration near launch due to some legal reasons. NGS was made during that window.

Another victim to the early Sixaxis days on PS3 I guess *sigh*

I didn't even think of that, but that makes sense. A shame that it's missing from this port.

Content-wise, I'm glad it's based on the Vita one but graphically, just seeing some odd lower res assets and lower quality DOF and some sound effects is a bit jarring. The transition from Alma's intro cutscene to gameplay is poorly edited audio-wise and you can hear the first part of the old track. It wasn't like that on the PS3.

On the upside, the ninpo is by default as powerful as the PS3's when you shook the Sixaxis.

graphics is based on ps3 version, all cut scenes in vita are prerecorded fmv video from the ps3 while they are all real time in pc and ps3 version beside those cgi from the og xbox version.

I see. But no, the realtime assets in-game aren't 100% from the PS3 version. I'm not familiar with the Vita one but have the PS3 one. There are some downgrades (DOF, some sfx, lighting with Masakado, ghost/spirits are lower res and the odd textue here and there, but they're mostly high res). CG is definitely more compressed too. None are deal breakers but worth pointing.

There is only 1 version where you can pull assets from for the cut scene and that is ps3. Vita cut scene are just prerecorded videos file from ps3 real time cut scene. Low res dof and post processing effects are the same as ps3 version, they don't scale properly with the resolution and become even more apparent in higher resolution. If you play the ps3 version in rpcs3 in higher resolution they are pretty much the same as the pc version, low res dof, bloom etc.

I'm not saying the cutscenes aren't from the PS3 version if the Vita had pre-rendered videos. I stand by everything else I said because I've done a comparable resolution comparison, and I still see a difference. Like I said, they're not deal breakers but worth pointing out. By comparison, Sigma 2 looks the same as the PS3 original (but has improvements with 60fps cutscenes and much faster loading)

Didn't even realize this game has no vibration. I always turn it off in input heavy games as it's just distracting, but I guess I didn't need to do it for this game. The absolute worst part of vibration is when games insist on using it on cutscenes so I can't even put the controller down...

Damn, that's a bummer. I guess just one more reason why emulating NGB might be superior
