Where are the original Ninja Gaiden games?
Topic. Every other classic series is on Steam now (Castlevania, Mega Man, Contra) so it seems odd that the original (and best) Ninja Gaiden games have yet to see a release on Steam. Is this just KOEI/TECMO dropping the ball like they do with Romance of the Three Kingdoms? Original game carts are (ridiculously) $2500 and this era has seen a return of the classics smashing more modern games. Anyone know why this company is so slow on the uptake or if there are plans to fix it? It's very hard to keep supporting a company that constantly spits in the faces of its players.

Code was lost for Black. Sigma isn't really better or worse. It removed a lot of annoying ♥♥♥♥ but added in other annoying ♥♥♥♥.

NG2 is a bad game imo anyway.

I mean the actual originals, the NES trilogy. It's the only classic NES series not to have a Steam release other than Nintendo's own IPs.

Ninja Gaiden on Xbox had the NES trilogy as an unlockable, you unlock by collecting 50 golden scarabs and then trading them in to Muramasa for the NES cartridge that you can play on the arcade over at Han's bar, and if you finish the game with the NG cartridge in your inventory, it unlocks in the main menu screen.

The Black remake of NG replaced the side scrolling trilogy with the beat em up Arcade NG game, but when they got to the Sigma remake, they decided to remove them entirely, and Sigma is the version this Master Collection uses.

Unfortunately Hayashi or whoever was in charge of Sigma decided to get rid of them, but there's still The Messenger if you want to play that type of 2D NG side scroller game.

Yeah I love the Messenger. Just wish KOEI/TECMO would stop crapping all over their older games. They do the same thing with the Romance of the Three Kingdoms games (only 11 and on are on Steam though all but the fifth game in the series have been released in English.) This company is just... so dang disrespectful of its fans. Ah well, I have them on the Nestopia emulator, I was just hoping to get them the legit way. Thank you for the answer.
