tips for using Dragon Sword Ultimate

Newer player here and I'm starting to get the hang of combat. I'm always short on cash though so i read somewhere that I should be using the dragon sword Ultimate. But it takes time to charge and there are so many times i'm getting swarmed i cant sit still and wait for it to charge. Any tips for how to use it? Any generalized tips would be greatly appreciated!

Jump and then charge. It's faster that way.

Knock down opponents with "forward+y" and take advantage of the time it takes for them to get up to charge the ultimate technique.

Kill some enemies, jump towards the essence orbs that comes out of them and charge just as you're about to land.

The most effective way is absorbing any orbs nearby. If there's a yellow orb nearby you'll automatically absorb it and reach ET. If it's a blue/red you'll reach a UT.
