How to free yourself from an enemy that bites or grabs you?

Hello, I would like to know how I can get out of a catch or a bite faster
Example : Doku or Ghost fish or cockroach and zombie
What are the keys and the manipulation?

Mash the buttons! I ususally go for X or Y but I think any of the buttons work.
If you do that on Doku he will not be able to health steal you.
It works on the Ghost fish and most grabs from any of the enemies.....

It doesn't work, I can't get rid of it quickly after I am in trouble: very hard

Try moving the left analog stick along with mashing buttons.

I think I wiggle the left stick instinctively..... sorry about the confusion!

Having to use a combination several inputs, is a blunder that should've been addressed at the original release of Sigma 1.

Jump + Light attack button mash, while rotating 360 the left thumbstick. That's officially how it's been done in the other games.
