Vcv rack on steam deck, anyone?

Vcv rack is a non steam (game) program that is able to run on the Steam Deck. Just installed it using the desktop mode and also added it to my steam library.

I'm a new Steam Deck user and got it like a week ago. I still find it difficult to get the controls right. Currently ive put the profile to a mouse based one, but i think we can get more out of the deck.

Any tips please share them.

I really love to play white my modular but as anyone owning a modular knows it is a hassal to bring you modular on the go. Steam Deck white Vcv rack can solve this easily.

Let's discuss optimal settings here. I hope vcv will we avalible as a flatpack or even here on Sream in the futere. Enjoy your musical jurny on the Steam Deck.

It's just unfortunately your game became a meeting point of those steam-based gamers who know what modular synth is :D ahem

Not sure how you feel about it. But don't forget to take advante of it and PR your game in synth communities, why not

Yeah we've got coverage from places like musicradar and cdm, and youtubers like Benn Jordan.

We have some players on our discord who also use vcv rack, thats another place to discuss vcv rack, in the offtopic channels.

Well, I think this topic is better on topic here. I’m not asking how to setup vcv rack on a Steam Deck. I’m asking what the best settings in Steam Os are for vcv rack.

I also consider vcv rack not to be a game. Yes you can use it that way but modular is not a game.

with the loose wires and the graphics, i would not mind spending money on sound state :) clock deviders and such. same a signal state, solving puzzles making songs :) i love the demo. i will buy the game soon
