Why can't I play as the character I just played as?

The title. I have e.g. LVL 4 for elfs, what unlocks tier 2 and tier 3 skills according to reward board. I have Elf Scholar hero with 2 stars (if it changes anything) and I go to InnMaster, pick Skill Tree which shows me that hero has no skills on tiers 1, 2, 3 or elite. How does it work? How do I get skills for heroes?...

Just fought that enemy, the tree stump evolved and ended up as an Elitreant. At that point, I could not kill the enemy anymore, as his protection ability would not go down (if hit it will go down by 1 it said). So basically, though I had 4 minions and 4 spells, could hit him like 5 times average per round, the protection thing never went down, I could never hit the enemy and in round 20 I lost. Any thoughts? Did I miss something or buggy? Any info is appreciated....

I've been following it. I played a beta demo or something. But it was delayed multiple times and never heard more. Now all of a sudden it's out, but with bugs? And no demo anymore? Should've been released in EA if you have bugs. And why am I following this but never heard anything? Well, I'm unwishlisting it, just sounds like a blatant cash grab. Good luck....

Hello ! First time I've encountered the luck wheel, I got the random curse. It didn't seemed that bad at first, just a small curse, random debuff at the beginning of fights... Except... When you get the death counter debuff ? Second time I've got instant death first round and it's starting to be very annoying, so anyone knows how to remove it ? Looked everywhere, can't find any hint about how......
