have you updated drivers or anything? the typical stuff? I’m playing on a laptop weaker than your system with outdated drivers of 2+ months and ran perfectly for me.

My drivers are updated yeah. and sometimes outdated drivers run better than the new ones

What resolution are you playing at?
Peter_Evol1 Jun 12, 2022 @ 10:19am
This game it's not properly optimized yet. Period

The game has stuttering thats for sure and load in sutter

I've settings on Ultra with DOF to normal to try limit motion blur's effects.

I'm playing 1080p with a 144Hz monitor. My performance is 144-146 in the menu and 60-65 in-game. I'm not entirely sure if there's a hard cap but I would say the devs only bothered to optimize around 30 and 60fps which is why the game won't go above 64-65fps. I think 60fps optimization is fine for a game like this btw, there's zero point in spending time and resources on optimizing for anything higher in a slow moving game like this.

It should also be noted that the game by default is limited to 30fps and you have to specifically untick the 30fps cap in the options menu.

My setup:

Windows 10
32GB DDR4 RAM
Ryzen 7 5800X (Stock, no OC)
RX 5700XT 8GB (Stock, no OC)
Samsung Evo 970 M.2 SSD (Was pretty fast when I bought it dunno if it's still the case)

I don't have any stutter except maybe 1-2 seconds when a cinematic starts at the beginning of a new chapter(Likely all the assets loading in for the scene/chapter). It's not noticeable as most of the time this happens it's the camera panning from foliage or static objects.

I understand that for sure. It's kind of disheartening that I spent so much money to grab a gpu this summer, and the games that have been coming out have been unoptimized turds

It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the PS5 too. Glitching around hair, etc..
Qtael Jun 12, 2022 @ 12:24pm
to be honest, game looks better in 30 fps
it's the only game i like more in 30 because it looks more like a movie
Mord Jun 12, 2022 @ 3:03pm
The game does NOT look better in 30fps, lol wtf.

There is a slight motion blur that's forced, a bit annoying. Using G-sync mitigated it a bit. I average 90 fps all ultra on a 3070 i9 3900x at 4.8ghz

Playing at 4K ultra

No issues playing the game and using the 2k launcher.

Only graphical issue is Anti Aliasing around people and objects when sunlight behind them.
my boy you have the best gpu in the world. Of course you arent gonna have as much issues as me

Way better rig than mine and i've only gotten 1 stutter so far, but no audio issues yet. The game is running great 1440p with everything at Ultra.

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super
