I'd rank them The Quarry > Until Dawn > House of Ashes > Little Hope > Man of Medan.
You may have more evidence of this when out of nowhere a gay romance between 2 characters turns into a straight romance with another character (and you have no choice of that) and with the monster skins that are the same as in Until Dawn. And the ending... Just no!!
So far the best games are in this order: Until Dawn > House of Ashes > Man of Medan > The Quarry > Little Hope.
Until Dawn > Quarry > All 3 Dark Pictures games
I loved Until Dawn and played it several times but later when Man of Medan, Little Hope, and Houses of Ashes came out, I didn't feel like playing them ever again after beating them. Also, not Supermassive but Detroit was pretty legit too. Detroit is up there with Until Dawn.
ehm Emma? Jacob?
This, pretty much. Including the ranking, I'd rank them the same, but I'd slide Hidden Agenda in between House of Ashes and Little Hope. Little Hope's ending absolutely ruined the game for me, I hate it with a fiery passion, but I can't argue that overall, it's a better game than Man of Medan.
The Quarry is, so far, the pinnacle of what Supermassive has been striving for over years, but it was very clearly made during a crunch and the resolutions suffer for it. In that there is no resolution. But OP, yes, this game is overall a great experience and is better than House of Ashes. Highly recommended, especially since you enjoyed the prior title.
I don't like the werewolves, they look like slimy people with teeth mostly in this game. House of ashes had some wild twists too, quarry is more predictable and a bit slower to get going.
However Quarry has better visuals, and a smoother more refined experience for sure.
I don't play Until Dawn because not released PC.
