But will it release as 1.0 or EA?
Is the game beinh reviewed ? Any good like the first ?
:D
The plan is to provide Steam keys for those who previously bought on Epic like we did with Galactic Civilizations IV.
The Sins of a Solar Empire II release on Steam will include a year's worth of updates we've been working on for the past year (Epic version will be updated too) but it'll be a pretty massive upgrade.
This is great news, a nice gesture to make. Does this apply for any EGS purchases of the game leading up to the Steam launch?
I'm not sure. It's a lot easier to do it for those who bought before May 1. I'd say there's a 99% chance for Arpil 30 and before and a 50% chance for after (behind the scenes stuff).
The only thing I don't like from what I've seen so far is the UI, I liked the previous one a lot more. Hope we'll see a few UI mod.
You'll be able to pick from multiple UI skins (atleast one per faction or the neutral one in there now). It's listed here (along with some other stuff coming): https://www.sinsofasolarempire2.com/article/527710/sins-ii-dev-journal-12---advent-rising
Oh wow, nice ! Thanks Fyst =) This really got me hyped for the release... Hope it will be sooner than later.
By the way, is planetary destruction still a thing for Vasari? Or has this "feature" changed? Or can all factions destroy planets now?
Vasari Exodus, formerly Vasari Loyalists, are able to destroy planets in Sins II at present.
I've also heard about a 4th faction? Is that still happening?
I had placed a bet either on the space unicorns or the killer klowns from outerspace...
That would have been information you should have given when you released SINS 2 on EGS. Then I would have said: "I don't like EGS, but I support you. I won't play for a minute on EGS, but I'm looking forward to the Steam release." But NO, you've been keeping quiet about the topic of STEAM the whole time. Good luck in the summer, but without me.
Think about it, if they give steam keys to everybody who buys on EGS, it's like giving away free copies, those people who bought on EGS might give or sell the key to somebody else.
That was probably something which was thought about for a long time before giving the green light.
