Agent 64: Spies Never Die

Agent 64: Spies Never Die

Cyphers
So to progress to act two I have to finish a challenge run? Seems kinda weird to bar story progress behind cyphers.

Or replay a level at the medium difficulty. Or play all levels at the medium difficulty from the get go.
No, you don't have to do a challenge run. Agent is worth 1 cypher, Secret Agent is worth 2 and 64 Agent is worth 3. Just play the mission again on a higher difficulty. Re-playing missions is how you unlock a bunch of stuff anyway.
Gotcha, thanks people!

Came here to say this. I'm trying to have fun, not play at higher difficulties to avoid having content locked behind challenges.

Cyphers were a stupid idea and they should patch them out ASAP.

Not only that, but it undermines the defenders of the no quicksave/checkpoint situation when they say "just go play on easy if you're so bad" when you can't even finish the game on easy because of the cypher system.
Do you people also think that books should only be written at a 6th grade level? If you can't do it then just play something else instead of insisting that everything cater to your low-skill requirements.

The game is already incredibly easy on the medium skill.

Anybody of any age can go from the start of the book to the end of it - There is not some magical force stopping someone from turning a page.. this is the point that is being made.

Progression system should not be locked behind difficulty levels. You can beat doom on baby difficulty.

"Should not." Says who, you? Who cares what you can do with Doom. This game isn't trying to recreate Doom.

You can also just open a book on the last page and close it. It doesn't mean you've read it. If a book is too difficult for a person to read, they just move on to something else. Books are a product and an art, and so are games (except Ubisoft, I guess lol). Sometimes, the direction and vision inadvertently excludes people.

I just don't understand why gamers feel like there's some moral or ethical obligation to ensure that absolutely every single person be able to enjoy a game in accordance with their own preferences and skill.

Maybe because including everybody allows you to make more sales meaning having more players. Instead of the same Vets who had all of these benefits from when we where kids.

I doubt their goal was to cast the widest net possible and get "the most player." Regardless of how many accessibility options they could have put into this game, there is a very low ceiling to how much money this game could or would make by the nature of what it is. It's already going to appeal to an incredibly limited audience.

Niche is niche I suppose.
