Hi, I can actually give you a helpful answer by making some central points to understand this game. If you primarily are aiming for a one and done playthrough of the narrative then this is not the game for you.

This game emulates a type of game that has short levels, but a lot of content within the structure of those either to find secrets or achieving better times and other achievements within repeatedly playing them. Levels of games on the N64 were short because the tech, specifically memory space on the Cartdriges and RAM in the consoles themselves were miniscule.

That means a major aspect was to use the resources, levels, weapons, various mission tasks, in creative ways to get a lot of play out of the available content. Simply put, graphical assets take up a lot of space, but code weighs barely anything. So you use code to shuffle assets around and create more content that way.

Loads of games on the N64 had this structure. To name a few: Star Wars Rogue Squadron, Blast Corps, of course Goldeneye and Perfect Dark.

So basically what you get here is a set of short levels where the main incentive is replay, "some" secret hunting and memorization plus some challenges based on the same assets and levels.

On top of that you get Multiplayer Split Screen and Online but also an Arena mode where you can adjust fights against bots to your hearts content where you can create crazy ort interesting compositions for matches.

On one hand the level structure might fit a busy schedule since you can dip in and out of levels and challenges real quick, and even if you have to stop playing one in the middle of it you don't loose to much time investment.

On the other hand it feels this might not be what you are looking for. Its not really substantial enough for a one and done single player campaign.

The story is not the focus here, the replaying and mastering is.
A single solo run through the campaign should run you about 3-4 hours but I've seen others say it took them about 5-6. It's a great game if you don't have a ton of time for gaming and want something short and sweet.

If you want more after that it does have more to offer than just the base campaign. Each map has it's own challenge run with special modifiers, there's multiplayer, and trying to beat each maps par time can be a challenge all it's own.
1.7 hours to beat agent with par times to get 8.2% completion.
for one i think the whole cyphers to unlock levels is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid, change that ♥♥♥♥ asap.
