Agent 64: Spies Never Die

Agent 64: Spies Never Die

Thanks!
I just wanted to take a moment to thank the developer for making this game.

Thanks for the joy of being able to play a new game like this for the first time in over 25 years. Thanks for the post launch support with all the quick fixes. And thanks for the happiness you've brought others too. It was a real treat watching the folks over at noclip and digital foundry react with the same kind of childlike excitement I have for Agent 64.

Others are welcome to reply to this thread with their gratitude too. I feel like it's something we don't see enough of these days.

I enjoyed the game, felt a bit short and would have loved some more action set pieces, more enemy variety and other things to make the experience better.

But since it was developed by a single dev, all I can say is, wonderful job and thank you!

Try the SOE64 demo on Steam as well if you want something a bit closer to the original games with much more variety. The theme is ww2 but the gameplay 100% makes up for it.
I wasn't aware of SOE, not sure if it looks awesome or awful lol, but I shall try the demo soon.

I already know it won't reach the places Agent 64 has oof, and that a studio won't manage to knock out multiple updates daily over the course of the first week. No need to go through layers, design, creation, approval, etc. One guy... making the executive decisions. It probably felt like a weakness many times over those 5 years in development, but it offered a power few in this industry have anymore and it is soooo impressive and heart warming to see . :nmhheart:

I love the game very much for how well it recreates the feeling of 'the other two'. It transports me back through time in a way not many things ever manage. I even found myself humming the menu music happily at work today. :robocat:

This for me is now and forever... 'the third one'. :criticalhit:

Great recommendation. Just played the demo myself and thought it was really promising.
D6, you did an amazing job with this game. I also enjoyed it. Great work. You did a perfect job of capturing the feel of the n64 era FPS with this, and I don't think I've played any other game that's scratched the itch like you did here.
I'm still picking up the game and running stages for fun in it having 100%ed the game. That says a lot. This is a real fine product. I don't think there's a single stage I think I wouldn't like to replay, which I cannot say about any of the games that influenced this one.
I waited on the game and I am enjoying it. It is obviously the first steps in a work of love.
