A guy trying to use this game to scam me on Discord

Just got one myself from a large Discord I'm on. Someone named "Quenna" username "supperat0we_13" messaged me, started talking me up, claimed to be a 20 year old Chinese girl, and ask me if I'd download the game. Quit talking when I called "her" out on it. The end of our conversation on Discord:

I also have someone wanting me to play infinity kingdom with them, claiming to have recognized the wrong person, their user is myrtleiop and claims to be from China, however I am unsure if I should even download this game

I got DMed from 2 of them from 2 different servers. Trix from the Warhammer 40k: Darktide discord server, and Anna from the Eternal Return discord server. I didn't know what was up until I got the second one but I had declined the first anyway.

Yeah, they're fishing, sending DMs like they thought you were their friend to join them in some particular IK activity, establishing it was an "accident" then asking if you want to play with them on IK. They're totally going after simps too because the pfp and name are all cutesy.

they game devs of this game try to get new peopl ein using other game forums on discord, they will offer you to join their server and world, they will then tell you to add funds and buy packs to boost you, thats their aim they want you to spend money in the game so they make money. after that they will keep wanting you to spend money and will edit the game in any way they can to make you spend more and then when you leave they will remove your account from you and sell it on ebay

So I didn't even think about the possibility of this being some kind of scam or scheme until after my first purchase where they tried to get me to buy a $100 bundle for some Lightning squad. Am I screwed? Like if they end up selling my account will it have my billing information they can use with it too? I got it and purchased through iOS.

Some other interesting things though. The initial person named Lili told me they were from HK, convinced me to try the game, invited me to a server and guild, and then told me to send them a discord request to another account saying that the other was for gaming and the new one was personal. Not sure why they did this, but this was when they asked me if I knew how to build the strongest team in the game and wanted me to spend more.

Majority of positive reviews are made by those accounts, just saying... if Valve would do what they are suppose to be doing, curating, this game wouldn't make it past 20%. Then again, Valve has interesting relationship with their Chines overlords as we could see in the past.

The company responsible for this trash is Singaporean, so unless you mean the identifying trait of these overlords is that they are Han, you're shadowboxing. Of course, Valve's actual overlords aren't defined by either ethnicity or nationality, but by being capitalists who care to be involved with a games platform, that just doesn't line up with your bugbears regarding international opposition.
