Short version: Slapped together assets in a game trying to be more than it is. 5/10. I only enjoyed it for being able to zone out and listen to podcasts in the background.

While the game is good for someone who enjoys the busy work of simulator games, WW2 Rebuilder really feels slapped together in areas where it shouldn’t. Some NPCs are dressed like they’re meant to be in medieval europe, the flashbacks are more often than not pointless, and the overall aesthetic of the game feels like the devs took multiple asset packs to just see what they could make with it. The upgrades are near unnoticeable for most abilities, the thrown hammer one especially. A faster swing or larger impact area would be better than throwing a hammer and only breaking ONE object with it.

Overall the game feels like a collection of asset packs rather than a post war version of house flipper. You can’t even clean up the streets or all of the grim, so the new items or buildings you put in feel very out of place and almost clash with the rest of their surroundings. I got this on sale for 10 dollars but I could not see myself spending more than that on it. I enjoyed my time but this game is very flawed in many areas. I have to give this game a negative rating to balance out the overly positive score.
